About My Project

The research is investigating the comparative behavioral influences of time pressure, near-misses, and priming on blackjack players. Each behavioral effect has been shown to influence gambler behavior. Time pressure effects occur when players have limited time to make a decision on whether to hit or stay. Near-misses occur when players have numerous close calls in a row and fell they are getting good at a chance based game. Priming occurs when gamblers are influenced subconsciously and act based on unconscious influences from the outside world.
